Mayow's School
Mayow is a student in standard five at Qoryoley Primary School in lower Shabelle region. His school consists of nine classrooms, an office for the head teacher, one room for the teachers, a library, a mosque, a hall, and one store-room. The school has also six toilets, two for male pupils, two for female pupils, one toilet for the female teachers and one toilet for the male teachers. In addition to that there are some computers and projectors. The school has a playground and garden which is used as a science centre. There is a tool for digging in the garden.
Mayow is an active, honest and hardworking student. After he takes his breakfast, he comes to school very early. He always gets high marks among his classmates. He respects his teachers and asks them questions very politely. He has a friend in his class called Barre whom he likes very much. Both of them go together in order to help each other. Mayow is also a generous boy who shares his properties with the other students.
He learns, plays and does homework with his classmates. All students like going for assembly. When they stand in neat rows, their uniform looks beautiful. They also like to listen the wise counsel of the headteacher and the teachers. After assembly, they go to classes where their teachers call out the attendance registers. Every day, they learn many lessons according to the time-table. They then sweep their classes and go home!
